Token Overview

8.1 Role of Tokens in the PORTLY Ecosystem

Tokens within the PORTLY ecosystem are designed to support platform usability, long-term participation, and sustainable growth.

Rather than serving as speculative instruments, PORTLY tokens function as access and participation layers that align user activity with the evolution of the platform. This approach ensures that token utility is directly connected to actual platform usage and contribution.

8.2 Dual Token Model Rationale

PORTLY adopts a dual token model to clearly separate platform engagement from market dynamics.

This structure consists of:

  • POTLP (PORTLY Point Token) — a non-listed point-based token used within the platform

  • POTL (PORTLY Token) — the listed ecosystem token introduced at TGE

By separating these roles, PORTLY avoids premature exposure of platform activity to market volatility and maintains flexibility in user onboarding both before and after TGE.

8.3 POTLP — Platform Point Token

POTLP is the internal point token of the PORTLY platform.

Its primary purpose is to represent user participation and engagement within the ecosystem. POTLP is earned through platform-related activities and is used to unlock advanced features and services.

Key characteristics of POTLP include:

  • Non-listed and non-tradable on external markets

  • Earned through usage, participation, and contribution

  • Used for accessing premium analytics and platform features

  • Designed to reflect real platform activity rather than speculation

POTLP allows users to benefit from the platform without requiring immediate exposure to a tradable token.

8.4 POTL — Ecosystem Token

POTL is the official ecosystem token introduced at the Token Generation Event (TGE).

POTL represents long-term participation in the PORTLY ecosystem and serves as the primary token for ecosystem-level utilities.

Key characteristics of POTL include:

  • Tradable on external markets

  • Used for advanced ecosystem utilities

  • Acts as the settlement and value exchange layer

  • Supports long-term alignment between users and the platform

Basic platform access does not require POTL, ensuring that new users can engage with PORTLY without friction.

8.5 Relationship Between POTLP and POTL

The relationship between POTLP and POTL is designed to be sequential and transparent.

Before TGE:

  • Users interact primarily with POTLP

  • Platform growth and engagement occur independently of market conditions

After TGE:

  • A predefined swap mechanism allows POTLP to be converted into POTL

  • Conversion rules are designed to align contribution with ecosystem participation

  • Swap availability is subject to platform-defined conditions and timelines

This structure ensures fairness, transparency, and controlled supply behavior.

8.6 Access-Based Token Model

PORTLY follows an access-based token model rather than a transaction-driven model.

Tokens are used to:

  • Unlock advanced analytics and reporting

  • Enable premium platform features

  • Access future ecosystem services

This design prioritizes long-term usage and platform value creation over short-term transactional activity.

8.7 Long-Term Alignment Philosophy

The PORTLY token framework is built around long-term alignment.

By linking token utility to meaningful platform participation and separating engagement from immediate market exposure, PORTLY encourages responsible use and sustainable ecosystem development.

Token mechanics are designed to evolve alongside the platform, with future adjustments guided by transparency, user trust, and ecosystem stability.
